State Journal-RegisterHouse approves bill that would delay FOIA requests, “People who frequently file Freedom of Information Act requests would have to wait longer for their requests to be fulfilled under a bill that passed the Illinois Senate on Monday.”

  • Peoria Journal StarSenate passes budget, sends it to Quinn’s desk, “In a series of mostly partisan votes, with Republicans voting against the plan, the Illinois Senate adopted a series of bills that set out state spending from the state’s general checkbook fund, the fund over which lawmakers have the most control.”
  • Bloomington PantagraphState pension push stalls, “House Speaker Michael Madigan and House Minority Leader Tom Cross issued a joint statement Monday acknowledging the proposal lacked support to move forward in the waning hours of the spring legislative session.”
