State Journal RegisterStill no agreement on how to pay off state’s back debts, “As of March 31, state Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka’s office had $4.52 billion in unpaid bills, some of which go back to October 2010. At the same point in 2010, the comptroller had $4.5 billion in bills. The unpaid vouchers affect both private businesses and nonprofits that provide services to the state.”

  • Bloomington PantagraphLobbyist report has eye-opening dinner bill, “In March, state Sen. A.J. Wilhelmi went out to one of Springfield’s finer dining establishments with Todd Vandermyde, the lobbyist for the National Rifle Association who is pushing for a law to allow Illinoisans to carry concealed weapons. The tab for Wilhelmi’s dinner, according to the report filed by Vandermyde, was $814.”
